Carry out a practical investigation on one of your input or output devices.
Use your results in your project specification. Here are some possibilities.
- Use a Lux meter and a multimeter to find out the resistance of the LDR at 100 Lux.
- Use a thermometer and a multimeter to find out the resistance of the thermistor at 40C.
- Use a sound level ( dB ) meter to find out how noisy the room is and how loud the buzzer needs to be so you can hear it clearly.
Place the sounder one metre away from the sound level meter.
- Use a signal generator to find the best audio frequency to use with your sounder.
Find the loudest frequency and read this off the signal generator dial.
