Power is the Energy used per Second.
Power = Voltage x Current = Current2 x Resistance = Voltage2 / Resistance = Energy / Time
P = V I = I2 R = V2 / R = E / t
Measuring voltage, current and resistance are quite easy. With these measurements, power can be calculated.
